Fiber art: contemporary art and landscape quilting with hand-dyed and painted fabrics. 

Pictures are constructed using a layering technique similar to a collage and often employ free motion thread painting, decorative threads and details. 

My blank canvas is a white piece of cotton.  Working with a solid piece of material requires an entirely different approach from traditional painting techniques.  The free motion threadwork that completes the work brings the piece to life with the little details. I love creating works that people are amazed to see is actually made of cloth and thread.
